Manufacturer Sub Categories

Is Prestashop able to list model numbers as sub-categories of the manufacturer?

 

For example, selecting Apple as a manufacturer, visitors to the site would then be presented with sub-categories of models, eg. iPhone 3G, iPhone 4, iPod Touch etc. etc.

In this situation, are you also looking to list those products under categories such as Accessories, iPods, Laptops, etc.?

 

Because if not, the best and easiest thing to do would be to create the Manufacturers as Categories in the Catalog section of your Back Office and create the products there instead. You could even rename it to Manufacturers instead pretty easily.

I just checked with one of our developers, and that will not be very easy without custom coding.

 

However, you can create an additional category or subcategory called "Manufacturers" where you can list those products.
