kin6x
I seem to have run into an issue I was hoping you kind people would help me with. I finally got past the file upload issue when creating downloadable files by uploading a small txt file and then copy/pasting the upload name to my bigger file which is actually for sale. The problem is now once Iv tried to test the file and download it, it just freezes at 46.1%.. Iv tested it on multiple computers, multiple browsers, and nothing works.. Does anyone know what may be causing this?

kin6x
How big is the file? how long before it freezes? Its an 80mb file in size and I believe it freezes after about 2 minutes roughly? Im using Firefox and on here it feezes at the 46.1% mark.
tomerg3
Try to place an 80mb file in your home directory, and download it from the browser. This should tell us if the issue is related to PS (if the download works), or to some settings on your server (if it stops around the same spot). I want to confirm that I can download the file from the browser. I moved it from the downloads folder into the home directory and tested.

kin6x
Also, let me add something... Initially I moved the file straight from the downloads folder into the home directory. You know, the renamed file that prestashop makes with the numbers, I moved it to the home directory and was unable to even locate it through the browser since it didnt have an extension. I had to rename it to its original state and then download it, at which point it worked just fine. Maybe this will help with the solution?
tomerg3
Can you post a link to a file with phpinfo() (see http://presto-changeo.tumblr.com/post/17589539698/understanding-php-ini-how-and-why-you-need-one is you don't know how to create it)
kin6x
and....? Oh sorry, I guess my first reply wasnt clear I meant to say that I do confirm that I can download the file flawlessly through the browser.. But only after I rename it to its original state. No freezing, no lost connection, nothing.
kin6x
Would that be the php.ini within my root directory? Or is there supposed to be one within Prestashop? Because I already have one in my root. Prestashop isnt my whole site, its just 1 section of it by the way.
tomerg3
root of PS should be fine
kin6x
I hope it isnt too late, the last week or so has been really busy so I wasnt able to return. I wasnt able to upload the php.ini file until I renamed the extension so please remove the .txt (or it can be viewed anyways). Also, this php.ini file wasnt in the prestashop folder since I dont have one there. This is the php.ini file that resides over the entire site and is at the root. On a side note. Im not actually unable to download anything I upload.. I have a test account that I use for downloaded products and when I check out with the downloadable products (which are 0.00) im now unable to click on the order number which opens up the product link. I dont understand since It worked perfectly just minutes before.. I had uploaded a small 2mb file and downloaded it flawlessly.. But now I cant even click through to get to it. php5.ini.txt Edited May 21, 2012 by kin6x (see edit history)
