My shop was fine until this morning, all last night I was adding categories and things were ok.
But this morning the following error occours on the homepage at the top:

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/**MYSITE**/public_html/shop/modules/blockcategories/blockcategories.php on line 110

I will be happy to give the moderators my FTP details.

I ALSO CAN'T SEE THE CATEGORIES IN MY BACKEND ADMIN

RIGHT I'VE REFRESHED AND THE ERROR HAS GONE
I STILLC ANT SEE THE CATEGORIES ON MY WEBSITE FRONT & BACKEND.
COULD YOU PLEASE HELP ME WITH THIS ISSUE, NOT THE ERROR MSG ANYMORE.

ALONG WITH THE CATEGORIES, THEY HAVE COME BACK

No, it's just kind of weird.
Like I couldn't get it to work all morning.
Then I come on here, post this support question...
The error message goes, and the categories come back.
I was like

I don't know how to check the logs?
Please help.

=try to see what yuo have as log checkers under your cpanel
=try to email you hosting guys asking thme for logs and report this issue.

it could because the server was trying to either backup or doing some job while it is locking the database while then? it sounds like a db lock issue
check with them so they can see what the server was doign at that time.
