"Unable to save addresses", in OPC

I have bought and installed the OPC for PS 1.4, on PS 1.4.7.3.

 

It works fine when I'm logged in, but if I'm entering the checkout page as a guest, I get "Technical error: Unable to save addresses" in an alert on page load. If I click "use another address for billing" I get the same message again. I can then fill out the forms, but the address isn't getting registered, so I never get to see the payment options.

 

I have tried to clear the browser cache/cookies, and also the smarty cache/compile folders on the server. I have tried to turn friendly URLs off and regenerated the .htaccess, but it stays the same.

 

I have seen this "unable to save address" in multiple forum posts before, but none of them have solved my problem.

 

What can I do? I would be happy if I can send the URL to someone with knowledge about these things.

Did you try to contact the website you bought the module from?

 

Was it working with the PS built in one page checkout?

I'm having the same issue. Sometimes it occurs and sometimes it doesn't. I tried turning off Canonical urls and that solved the problem, however when I turned it back on the error did not come back.

 

I'm using PS 1.4.8.2, any ideas on what to do?
