kwnz
Hello, I'm configuring my Prestashop and set Spanish language, and "almost" everything got translated but there are a few strings that didn't. Not all of them are from third's modules, I think they are in Prestashop kernel. I try to find and replace but don't like to modify template code, as in future updates they may be overwritten. How can I force complete translation? Thank you Here some examples: I agree to the terms of service and adhere to them unconditionally
hxd
You can actually do this from the back office of your PrestaShop. Go to Tools tab>Translations sub-tab. The first section on that page is Modify translations, leave the drop-down menu there to the default Front Office translations and click on the Spanish flag that's next to the drop-down menu. On the page that opens you'll see the expressions that appear on the frontend grouped into fieldsets (with the number of expressions next to the name of the fieldset). You can expand a fieldset to see and edit the expressions in it by clicking on its name. As I can see from the screenshots that you have posted, to edit the expressions in the first screenshot go to the my-account fieldset. The rest of the expressions that you have shown I think are all in the fieldset authentication. When you change all the expressions don't forget to click on the Update translations button to save the changes. Hope this helps.
CSEpe
Where do you change the Information tag on the left of the Shop. I can find all the other words to translate except this one.
Mike Kranzler
Hi CSEpe, Try looking under Tools > Translations > Translation of installed modules. I hope this helps. -Mike
CSEpe
I get this message: Warning, your hosting provider limits the maximum number of fields to post in a form: 1000 for suhosin.post.max_vars 1000 for suhosin.request.max_vars 1000 for max_input_vars Please ask your hosting provider to increase the suhosin post and request limit to 1342 at least. or edit the translation file manually. My host is not willing to increase the suhosin post due to security reasons. So, although the shop looks nice and is much simpeler than Magento it's not really useful. I do not have these problems with OSCommerce. Changing Host is not an option. There must be another way....... (split it in more forms??) I have already tried to change the language files, but I just can;t find the right "INFORMATION" / "INFORMAZIONI"
Mike Kranzler
Hi CSEpe, As it says in the error message, you can always edit the translation files manually. You can find them all in your shop's /translations folder. I hope this helps. -Mike
CSEpe
I've changed every 'Informazioni' (Italian) in all the files I could find without any result. See: http://www.computerserviceepe.com/prestashop/?id_lang=5 on the left just above Consegna.- Termini e condizioni d'uso etc
Mike Kranzler
Hi CSEpe, I'd be happy to look into this further for you, but I just noticed that your logo is in violation of PrestaShop's trademark. Please take it down or replace it, and then I will be happy to continue to help. -Mike
CSEpe
Ok, done. I wasn't planning to leave it there. Just playing with it to get the feeling....
Mike Kranzler
Ok, done. I wasn't planning to leave it there. Just playing with it to get the feeling.... OK thank you. However, I'm seeing "Informazioni" on my end. Does it not look that way for you? -Mike
CSEpe
Yes correct. I tried to change all the words "Informazioni" into another word to see where I have to change it in one of the php files, but that's not working.
Mike Kranzler
Ahhh I see, this specific issue is actually much easier than most other translation issues. In blockcms, "Informazioni" is actually not in the translations, but you can change it very easily in your Back Office under Modules > BlockCMS. Please let me know if this works for you. -Mike
CSEpe
Yes, I've done it. If you know where to look it's easy. But in what file is this stored or do you change it in the Database?
Mike Kranzler
Yes, I've done it. If you know where to look it's easy. But in what file is this stored or do you change it in the Database? That one would be in the database. I'm glad I could help you resolve this! I'll go ahead and mark this thread as solved for you. Happy selling! -Mike
