Help..Nothing is Updating

Recommended Posts

I have no idea what's going on since I havent changed anything. However I did have a programmer install a new payment module so perhaps there is something conflicting? Anyways here is my issue. I am trying to update the categories (make new ones, change names, positions etc) However NONE of these are being changed in the live shop. I use magnetic ones backend software to make the changes however when I go into my prestashop backend and look at my catalog those changes are not reflected in the home sub categories, however if I try to recreate or edit these categories it then pulls up and shows the changes are there :/ but like I said this is not relfected in the home categories in the backend or on the front page. I went into my performance tab and tried to change force compile to no and cache to yes thinking that might resolve it but it wont even let me change that. it says its saved but immediately goes back to the way it was.. There is obviously something going on but I am not knowledgeable enough to what it is. Your help is very much appreciated :)

I have attached a screenshot showing what the order looks like in the backoffice software I have and you can view what it looks like on the live site at www.catesdesires.com (warning:adult oriented) thanks in advance

I have my settings to be connected live to my site and update automatically which i have never had an issue with before now. I also have my categories active and displayed. I did submit a ticket last night to you through your offline message link and have not heard anything back yet.

I'm having exactly the same issue. The categories in the live navigation have no bearing to the way I have them configured under Categories. All my drop down categories are gone in the front end shop. The only thing left is a navigation structure that looks nothing like how I have it set up.

After reading a few posts I disabled all but US language, but that did nothing to address the problem. I also would like to know if the number to the left of the Category name (back end) has anything to do with it - and how you can change it if it does.

My first Category is numbered 13 to the left of its name in the back end shop. No idea how to change that or whether that's the cause of the problem.

I've attached pics of the back end category config and the resulting front end... not even close.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Andreafed, in back office go to Modules/Modules, scroll to Top Horizontal Menu and click Configure.

Add/Remove categories and links as needed. The entries in the right-hand box determine what displays in your front-end menu.

Make sure you get the desired sequence right first time - there's no facility to change the positions in the menu other than remove them and start again.

Cheers, Dave
