Webicon
Hi PS community. I have a problem, and i feel like it's quite basic, and i tried searching the forum, but with no result. I have a Prestashop installation, 1.4.7.0, and i have it on a test domain at the moment. I want to move it to the domain intended for it, but I can't figure out how to do it. Of course, i copied the DB and the file system to the new domain. I found the /config/settings.inc.php containing some information regarding database etc., updated that file with the new information, and no success. This is how i normally move a CMS system like Joomla, but apparently it's not that simple with PS. I read somewhere that I have to change a database entry, but I couldn't find what was described. I assumed it was an old guide? Can anybody tell me how to make this move, so the webshop runs smoothly? I can't imagine that i have to make a clean install and configure everything again. And if somebody can guide me through this, please inform me on every step, so it's even clear for a fool like me! I thank you in advance.

Carl Favre
Hi Webicon, It is the good process to move to another host. What kind of issue do you have when you try to access your site? Blank page? Error message?
El Patron
PS has the conical url in the ps_configuration table. Assuming you can navitgate to the back office-->preferences-->seo urls -change the Shop Name (conical URL) or using phpmyadmin, alter the PS_SHOP_NAME and PS_SHOP_NAME_SSL
Webicon
Hi Webicon, It is the good process to move to another host. What kind of issue do you have when you try to access your site? Blank page? Error message? I receive an error message, stating something about the DB. I have deleted the installation, so I can't give you the exact wording. I will try again with the advice i got from Elpatron, and i will copy/paste the error if i get it again. PS has the conical url in the ps_configuration table. Assuming you can navitgate to the back office-->preferences-->seo urls -change the Shop Name (conical URL) or using phpmyadmin, alter the PS_SHOP_NAME and PS_SHOP_NAME_SSL I couldn't go to the BO, but i will look for PS_SHOP_NAME and PS_SHOP_NAME_SSL, thanks a lot! I will try it asap
El Patron
Make sure that your config/config.inc.php has your new host db information and that you can connect to the back office.
