<SOLVED>CMS Home category is missing and not showing cms pages

Recommended Posts

Hi guys,

I've noticed that in my Prestashop 1.4.4.0, under tools/CMS, the default Home category is not showing (see screen.jpg). I've made some CMS pages and installed/configured the CMS block V. 1.1.

The links in the CMS block look like this: http://www.domain.nl/cms.php?id_cms=1. But when clicked it gives a blank page (center column) as if it can't find the main cms category Home first...

I've tried to look in de DB but I can't find the cause (see db.jpg (second jpg...))

So my question is: how can I reset, create a new CMS main category or solve this problem...

Any help is much appriciated!

Cheers,

Steven

I had the same problem and probably you just need to go to Modules, find the CMS Module and click on configuration.

In here you can plant the Home CMS in your left or right side of the website.

Now you can see your Home CMS, you just need to edit the pages and links for a better use.

Hi,

Thanks for your reply but I not quite understand it. I do see the CMS block on the frontpage so that's not the problem. I don't have the main Home CMS category at all.. (I can't transplant the module in the config screen anyway right? )

See the thing is, that in TOOLS > CMS it says: There are no subcategories in CMS Category "". I recon that there should be Home between the "". So the question is how do I do that.

Cheers,

Steven

I think it has nothing to do with the module CMS block. When I make some CMS pages they won't show up when I put the link in the horizontal menu... I figure there must be something wrong with the CMS thing itself. But what?

Is upgrading to a newer version of PS an option?

FYI I am using the latest version of prestashop without having any trouble with CMS.

I have checked the report for the latest version of PS, having fixed and changed a lot of bug and problems.

Check this website, it might change your mind and wanting to update your older version of PS.

Let me know if you updated your older version, and if so, did it fix your problem

Hi,

I did several succesful upgrades to the latest version with other sites, but with this particular project I had many issues when upgrading to the latest version, so I downgraded to 1.4.4.0.

After a few hours of trial and error, it turned out to be an issue between the blockinfos_mp module and the blockcms. I enabled the blockinfos and the blockcms. After that I disabled the blockinfos and everything works fine. It only took me a day to figure that one out...

Thanks for your support anyway!

I'm experiencing a similar problem after ugrading from 1.4.8.2 to 1.4.9. I have no cms pages. I mean they're still there in BO cms, but they don't display. Which is this blockinfos module? Is there another solution? Edited by Dan1 (see edit history)

There is no such thing as CMS module to find anywhere in prestashop. So where is this mysterious module that cannot be found anywhere?
