Tickets

Recommended Posts

Hi there,

i have an event with tickets for both adults and children.

The ticket is the product and when a user clicks on the product they should get a drop down option of child or adult. If they choose adult all they have to do is choose the quantity. If they choose child they also have to choose quantity but also input the name(s) of any children. Is this possible? I also want the overall quantity of the ticket stock to decrease when each of the two options are chosen.

I hope i explained this properly and that someone can help. Many thanks in advance.

You can use the Customization option (one of the tabs in the product editor) to display additional textboxes to enter the children names (The textbox will always display).

The way Prestashop handles attributes is by assigning each attribute to a unique combination, which has its own stock, price, weight etc...

I only know of 1 module which changes the way combinations behave, and would allow you to have 1 stock for multiple attributes from 1 group.

The module is designed for much more than what you need, but will be able to solve your issue http://www.prestashop.com/forums/index.php?/topic/47363-module-attribute-wizard-pro-create-an-unlimited-number-of-attributes-and-display-as-radio-button-checkbox-dropdown-textbox-teaxtarea-files/

thanks alot i will check this out. I had looked at the combinations feature but I don't think it will work as at the minute it needs me to add adult tickets to cart with details, then child tickets with details - i think this will turn some people off, it would be better if they had to enter on checking out than here.

Would that module let me have both options with a quantity box as well as text area?

If I understand what you mean, then yes.

But, you can always try it out to be 100% sure, there is a front & backoffice demo, you can try to create the product and configure it the way you described.
