[SOLVED] Display the Quantity box for some products only

I need to show the Quantity box (where the user enters the amount he wishes to purchase), in the product page in FO, only for some products.

In those products where it would not be visible, there will be an attribute group called Quantity, selectable by the user.

Anything to avoid having 2 elements that do the same thing, have the same label and may confuse some users.

I could remove it permanently by editing the css or product.tpl but instead I need for other products where the quantity must be entered freely.

I searched the extensions but I have not found anything.

Any idea?

Hi,

You can do it by adding an {if} statement to the product.tpl checking by id if that attribute group is added to the product or not, and display the quantity input according to it. In this case you should not remove the 'Quantity' attribute group in Back Office.

Hello my many experts..

I am trying so hard to do exactly as above but failing.. Is there anyway you can be more precise as I am a beginner. I made the first change properly I belive but im failing to understand exactly what to change with the 2nd. Can you state change "" to "" just as in first instruction? Hi.

[PUT HERE THE CURRENT CODE FOR QUANTITY INPUT] means the code from the TPL that displays the quantity box.

You should be able to see the ID in Back Office, ID's are always displayed in the lists.

Hello everyone, I too have the same problem I had @ eugenata.

I followed the solution CartExpert.net, but when I update the page I'm not seeing anything, blank page.

Maybe I put the code in the wrong place.

Eugenata can you help me? Maybe posting your product.tpl page, I see where you must enter the code CartExpert.net.
