[SOLVED] Error Message :There is 1 error : Missing category ID

Recommended Posts

Hi, when I click on the "Top Sellers" and "New Products" footer links at the buttom of my site n2jc.com I get the missing category id error. I've already reset the smarty cache in the administration panel and it hasn't helped. I had the same problem with my other site and I ended up having to pay to have the problem fixed. So, I'm hoping to not have to do that again. Thanks

Hi smiles,

It appears that your footer is linking to http://n2jc.com/category.php?id_category=40 (not working) while your category links in the left column are linking to http://www.n2jc.com/category.php?id_category=40 (working)

Can you please post a screenshot of your settings at the bottom of the page under Preferences > SEO & URLs?

I thnk i never have done clear smarty cache.... But how to clear cache????

Thanks

You can do this over FTP. Just delete everything in your tools/smarty/cache directory, and everything EXCEPT index.php in your tools/smarty/compile directory.

I hope this helps.

Once again i am sorry for that. I still have the problem. And still don't know how to resolve that

And have you already tried what I requested above in terms of switching back temporarily to the default theme?

Yes i have, but in default theme there is no "Menu" which will call "category.php" page...

You should be able to create this in your Back Office under Tools > CMS.

In this situation, it appears that it could be an issue with your specific theme. I would recommend that you contact the developer of this theme directly to ask for advice on how to best resolve this.
