Knowledgeable88
Hello,I have installed prestashop and messed around with it a bit. I have added some customizations to my product via the customization tab. I added a few text fields and some file upload fields. I have notice after the files finish uploading, its shows the thumbnails confirming that they files have been uploaded successfully. However, when I had the add to cart button, its says please fill all required fields. The only work around to this thing is to make the file upload fields un-required. Is there any fix to this? Also, I cant delete the text fields in the admin panel. I have to uncheck them and click update to get them to remove, however, the text numbers go higher and higher! Its just really weird. Is there also a way to add a text area vs a text box?? I want one of the production to require a description of 500+ characters before the item can be checked out. Any help??? Andrew H
I've found the same problem. It seems impossible to use the required tick box but if this is left so the upload isn't required, customers might forget to add their file. For me, a limit on the number of characters for the text field would be great as customisable products have only a limited amount of space -if anyone knows how to easily do this, please let me know! Snol
Hi Knowledgeable and Andrew, just read your posts and realised that there must be an option for my customers to upload their own file somewhere which would be great for me but I cant see where to turn it on, any help is appreciated.ThanskJohn
Andrew H
hi John -there's a "customization" tab when you're adding or editing a product. You just need to add some details there and the product customisation features will appear...

Andrew H
have a look around the forum as I think you'll find the answer to your problem -possibly an FTP permissions problem, but I'm not sure.
