[SOLVED] Backorder message

I am a bit lost with the backorder message.

 

This works when the product has reached zero stock.

When there are, lets say, two items left in stock, no message is shown.

 

Makes sence, because the amount of products to be ordered in the front end is automaticallt set to one.

 

When this amount is changed to five, it can be placed in the cart and orderder. No message is displayed to the customer.

 

Is that correct?

Yes, this is correct. The backorder message, which you can rewrite if preferred, only shows up if the product is currently out of stock.

Is there a way that customers get a notice when they order more then one item and there create a backorder?
