peterls
Hi, I want to sell virtual goods. Therefore, there is no need for "Delivery Methods", "Delivery Address" and "Carriers" in the check out process. I cannot find any topics which explain how to sell virtual goods. The virtual goods is not in the form of a downloadable file, so the product option "Is this downloadable product ?" will not work. Any help would be appreciated /Peter

Mike Kranzler
It is a one time subscription. No download nor any physical goods involved. But what are they subscribing to, exactly? Without understanding what your customers are purchasing, and thus expecting, it's very difficult for me to offer you a suggestion on how to best handle this on your store. -Mike
peterls
Hi Mike, We will use Presta as a storefront and only use it for the initial purchase of a subscription. Let me explain. We are a server hosting provider. Our customers would access our Presta Shop website to select and purchase a subscription for on or more of our servers. The purchase is for the price of one month server usages. As the server stay in our datacenter there is no need for shipping address or carrier. When our customer has made the initial purchase, we use your REST API to export the sale into our own backend purchase system. This system takes care of the monthly re-billing, invoicing...... Mike Kranzler
Hi peterls, I will see if I can find any specific modules or configurations well-suited to this sort of strategy, but off the top of my head, I would recommend that you create them as downloadable products and upload some sort of receipt/order confirmation PDF as the downloadable file. This way, they will have some sort of tangible confirmation of their order without you providing anything unnecessary via download. -Mike
peterls
Hi Mike Thank you for your advice. Is there any way we could provide a individual purchase receipt instead of a static PDF as the downloadable file.

Is there any way we could provide a individual purchase receipt instead of a static PDF as the downloadable file. Not by default, that would likely require some code customization. -Mike
Dh42
Prestashop is not made for that to be honest. Your best bet would be to use http://www.whmcs.com/ That is pretty much the industry standard.
