NinaCreatus
Hi! I've got a problem with new customers registering to my e-store. When a new visitor first time registers to my e-store, he's redirected to his account page, but soon after he clicks on the logo or tries to see a product to buy it, he receives this on-screen message box: "Invalid token". Here is another thing - if this freshly registered visitor goes to a homepage, it seems as if he's just signed out and he must logg in again, but when he refreshes the page, it seems as if he is logged in again. I am wondering why is this happening and how to get rid of this bug? I've already tried to uncheck the radio button in the BO/Preferences - Increase Front Office Security and set it to "No", but this probably means that my customers security is not high enough. What would you suggest in this case - to set the FOSecurity to Yes or No? Thank you, Nina

NinaCreatus
what is your prestashop version? Elpatron, I've just seen that you registered to Unikatnica. Did you get that same "Invalid token" screen message after registering and going to your homepage or when trying to order something from the store? What was your experience after registering? I've tested the registering procedure while having chosen my own Slovenian langugae, so the message appers, when you choose the Slovenian flag/language, then register and after that trying to do some of the previously mentioned steps (homepage, trying to order, etc.) My version of Prestashop is 3.2.

When did this start happening? I assume you are an established site because of the ps version. Then I would ask, what did you change? I found information on this problem but it only 'seemed' to concern 1.4 releases up to 1.4.5.1. Here is that particular thread. http://www.prestashop.com/forums/topic/127474-solved-invalid-token-on-address-modify/

I believe it started to happen approximately half a year ago, but can not tell for sure, because no customer told me about it. I've accidentally discovered it by myself one day, when I created another account in order to test out the consumer purchase process. But I do not remember to change anything related to this...though I've made tens of changes in php, js, css and html files in order to adapt this e-store to my own needs. So, it's really hard to tell what change exactly resulted in showing of this "Invalid token" message. I'm gonna read the info you suggested and let you know later whether it helped me or not. By the way - do you think it would be a good idea to set that "Increase Front Office Security mode" from "Yes" to "No"? Thank you, Nina
El Patron
re:"Increase Front Office Security mode" turning it off did not help, so I'd return to your original settings. My feeling, and experience, is that somewhere a change was made that created the problem. Make sure to backup!

My feeling, and experience, is that somewhere a change was made that created the problem. Make sure to backup! Hi, elpatron! I+m not sure if I understood you correctly - you said that turning off the Increase Front Office Security mode did not help - it is not what I said - I just said that having that mode turned off would probably mean that the security is not high enough. Did you somehow tried to "enter" my BO and try to turn it off, if I correctly understand? Additionally, if I try to back up my DB, something goes wrong, because I can not do this. I get this message: "An error occur while backing up. Unable to obtain the schema of "ps_connections_source". What would that mean and how can I make DB updating work again? Thanks, Nina

Thanks, Nina best to stay on topic of your original question and post other questions in new threads and focus on your invalid token. as for Front Office Security, what I said is, if turning it off did not fix your invalid token problem, then turn it back on. your mysql db backup is easier and 'better' if you can access your db via mysql rather than some module or prestashop feature
