grpetz
I previously used CS-Cart professional version for our store. A few problems and bugs after latest upgrade about a month ago caused me to say, "no" to using it any further. I am currently using the latest PrestaShop 1.4, and have uploaded the 1.5 to take a sneak peak. Super super work! I thought I would compare PrestaShop 1.5 with Magento's latest, and the learning curve for Magento is to me pretty far out there in time needed to spend on it just to make category blocks and other items appear in the front end. My conclusion after trying both 1.5 and Magento is your PrestaShop system is by far much easier to navigate, setup and user friendly. It would be good to add a convenient feature of being able to add a downloadable product by way of a special folder that I would FTP my files to, so then I can just select from the folder in a list which download we need for that product. The one page checkout I think should be more user friendly. One more thing that I just thought of... is my web host will not permit me to use allow_url_fopen due to security reasons behind it, so I can't setup PrestaShop completely to the "T". Overall PrestaShop team you are doing a good work with the development of it and I appreciate it. Version 1.5 in my opinion compares in features to the paid CS-Cart pro version. I am soooo ready for you to release the latest 1.5 so I can upgrade from 1.4.... Many thanks. Gary
