Question about Nav Bar

Iv been having numerous issues involving the nav bar. Iv been trying to change the names and links for my theme but nothing I do seems to work.

 

According to the Back Office my menu module is: Categories block v2.0 by PrestaShop

 

Now iv been editing the blockcategoriestop.tpl in the prestashop main module folder. Meaning that its NOT the module folder inside my installed theme. Im not sure what im doing wrong, but after editing I still get no changes. Iv tried even doing forced compile and clearing cache but when I turned those settings on my site got an internal server error on all browsers so I couldnt keep it enabled..

 

Am I editing the wrong module? Because iv searched and searched and searched but cant find any other categorie block modules to edit.. I also tried to install another menu but it didnt end up so well because it got aligned to the very top of the page and I couldnt figure out how to make it come down and level where the old one was.. Id prefer to keep the one that came with the theme, but if I have no choice then ill change.

 

What im really hoping is if someone can tell me exactly where they changed their themes menu, if anyone has. If not then im wiilling to try just about anything now.. Iv been stuck on this issue for almost 3 days now.
