How to upgrade from 1.5.0.5 to 1.5.0.9

Which are the process to upgrade from 1.5.0.5 to 1.5.0.9. There are changes on database?, or I only need to update the files of the new version, overwriting the files of version 1.5.0.5?

You must replace the files and go to /install/upgrade/upgrade.php to update.

I think that this message means that you have an error on the update process.

I copy the files, and run the update process.

When I see the site, I could see that, for example, the homeslider is not in the hook_home. The database update make changes about the hooks of the modules and this kind of things?
