panco01
Hello! Why Prestashop 1.4... does not stop on the "On backorder" (red) status in section Orders, when stock quantity (go to under 0) is < 0? Status automatically jumps on e.g. Awaiting bank wire payment. Its worked normally on Prestashop 1.2.5 (status "Out of stock") It is for me BIG problem, beacose we have about 100-200 orders /day and I do not know the order, which is out of stock! I try it on clear installation. 1.4.7.3. 1.4..5. 1.4.2. Sorry for my english. Thanks for any response. PanCo
Mike Kranzler
Hi PanCo, I'm not too sure what you're trying to say here. Can you please post a link to a product where I can see this issue on your site? -Mike
panco01
Hi, see bo - Orders e.g. no. 000006 should be "On backorder" order but is "Awaiting bank wire payment"
Mike Kranzler
Hi PanCo, For security reasons, please NEVER post your admin URL or login credentials on the PrestaShop forums. In this situation, since you're trying to show me something in your Back Office, can you please post a screenshot of that order so that I can try to look into it further for you? -Mike

Mike Kranzler
Hi PanCo, For each individual product in the affected order, can you please ensure that the "When out of stock" action is set to "Deny Orders"? -Mike
panco01
I have set " Default: Allow orders (as set in Preferences)" It is OK,because I want to sell even if Quantity in stosk is -1 or -10 ... but I want to status remeined "On backorder" PanCo
Mike Kranzler
Hi PanCo, In this situation, you cannot change the default order status via the Back Office. It would require code changes, as you can see here. However, you can use the dropdown menu in each order to change the status manually. -Mike

panco01
Hi Mike, why PS have order status "On backorder" ? This function degrades (Perfectly tweaks) prin via Order -> Invoices -> By order statuses, beacause I get Invoices which I dont send... Remeber 200 orders/day and each manualy review...(if by chance is not an item out of stock) PanCo

MatejCicak
Hi, I have same problem. I want to stay at "on backorder" status if someone order product that is out of stock. How can I do that? (PrestaShop™ 1.4.7.3) Edited July 24, 2012 by MatejCicak (see edit history)
Mike Kranzler
Hi Matej, If you would like to allow users to order Backordered products while keeping the status as "On Backorder," my response to Panco applies to you as well. This would require custom development to properly implement. -Mike
