anton91
Hi Guys, Installed Prestashop a few days ago and managed to sort most of the problems i was having myself. However one of them i am completely stuck on. On my site (link below) www.furnitureleicester.co.uk all of the images work apart from the thumbnail images on the product page. There is one product where everything works fine, but i can't seem to figure out why none of the others want to work. Can anyone take a look and advise? Regards, Anton
Mike Kranzler
Hi Anton, In your Back Office, please go to Preferences > Images and use the Regenerate Thumbnails option near the bottom of the page, then clear your cache and let me know if that works any better for you. -Mike
Dh42
Also, try going to preferences > images. Edit the images called large and make sure that products is checked in there. Because it is generating small and medium images for your products, just not the large ones.

I thought i'd checked everything! I'd already checked the cache etc Thanks very much for the help guys Hopefully i can develop something in the future and give back to the community! This happened when I decided to regenrate thumbnails after changing the sizes of images in Preferences. I don't even think thumbnails were ever regenrated successfully - I constantly received the following error: Internal Server Error The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request. Please contact the server administrator, [email protected] and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error. More information about this error may be available in the server error log. Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request. I followed advices above - and still not regenerating. Would there be any solution for this? Or would I need to re-upload all the images again? Thanks again, Yuliya. Mike Kranzler
Hi Yuliya, In that situation, it's likely due to your hosting provider's server timeout. You will need to contact them and ask them to increase that value. Alternatively, you can try regenerating the thumbnails for each type of image individually rather than doing them all at once, but depending on the number of images and your hosting restrictions, that still may not work (in which case you'll definitely want to contact your host). -Mike

Please contact Prestashop support and asked if they can configure the script so that it will easily be executed on the server to avoid script time out. We can not change the script time out cause you are under the shared hosting server." Thanks, Yuliya.

The only thing I can suggest is what I posted above, to regenerate the thumbnails one section at a time rather than all at once. Otherwise, you may need to consider a different hosting provider that can better support your needs, even if its just a temporary increase to allow you to regenerate the images (which shouldn't take more than a few minutes). -Mike
