Hi all

 

I am hoping somebody can help with an issue I have on a personal site I am doing for my own business.

The site is an online ordering system for customers to advertise in my weekly newspaper.

So I don't lose the personal touch with my customers I have only done it for the smaller sizes.

 

The site is currently on a spare domain www.300212.co.uk

 

The problem I have is not with the box advertisements but with the lineage ads.

 

I have three different size adverts on the lineage side which allows the customer to choose the classification they require (for sale, wanted, autos, congrats etc.) The advert sizes need to be limited by characters, eg:

 

1 - small ad - £3 - 100 characters

2 - medium ad - £4.50 - 150 characters

3 - large ad - £6 - 200 characters

 

At the moment I can only set the number of characters to ONE quantity across the board.

 

Is there a way to have three separate character limits?

 

I am willing to pay a small fee to a problem solver . . . .

Solution depends on how you achieve the current text limit. Your install has a JS function (that is not part of native install) which does a naïve attempt at achieving what you want. Ask to person who wrote that function to fix it. If s/he is not available attach your product.tpl from /themes/your_theme/product.tpl to a post.
