HELP - all of a sudden combinations weight increases are not calculating

There is something VERY strange happening on one of my client's stores and I have very few answers for them. I'd like to get some input.

 

Firstly I'd like to note that the ONLY change that was made between this calculation working and it not was the addition of a simple banner manager that does nothing to the checkout pages.

 

Second, I have the Orlique order manager installed and UPS pricing calculator installed.

 

Third, I have version 1.4.3

 

So this is what is happening.

 

Almost all of my products are some variation of a "combination" where the base product isn't really a product at all.

 

The base product has a weight of 6lbs and every combination has an increase as the size of the product combination increases. So I have the product "Shelf" and the combinations are 18"x14" -- 20" x 16" -- and 24" x 18"

 

The product "shelf" has a weight of 6lbs. The first combination i listed is +0, the second combination I listed is +2 and the third combination I listed is +4

 

When in the Orlique order manager, when you look at the products in the list you see the product ID, the name, the price increase and the weight increase. It displays the +0, +2, and +4 in this list, so the weight increases are being saved and recalled there.

 

HOWEVER, when I actually add the product to the cart, the cart shows a weight of 6lbs (which is the base weight +0) no matter which combination I add.

 

I went a step further to test to be sure it wasn't an issue with Orlique and tested with the front end check out.

 

If I created a product with a base price of 0lbs and then increased the weight by 1, when I go to check out on the front end, it shows $0 shipping! This means that even though I increased the combination's weight, it's only getting the base product weight which, in this case, is 0!!

 

This is a HUGE issue and I have no idea what is causing this.

 

Some guidance would be hugely appreciated.

 

P.s. the shipping weights have been heavily tested when we went live and have NEVER had this issue. I can not, with confidence, however say that this started when I installed a banner manager because this could have been happening for some time without actually noticing.

I am having the same problem with the shipping calculator in orlique. I don't believe it to be a conflict with another module, just bad coding. Can't get it to work myself though, did you by any chance find a solution?
