Sales not registering as orders

Recommended Posts

Hi all

I hope somebody can point me in the right direction to solve a problem I now have.

I am using 1.4.7 and orders are not registering as a sale. the first I know about the sale is when I get notification of a payment by email.

I can then look at the shopping cart and see what the order was.

Surely it should be registering as an order.

Hi again

Have updated to paypal 2.8.6 module but still no change. I really think presta is a good system and have used it for nearly 3 years now but when you have a problem like this and there appears to be no solution it makes you wonder, if you had paid for a system a least you have somebody to sort it out.

Hello,

I am having the same problem. I am using Prestashop 1.3, I have had orders.

However, having all the details of my customers, the items they have purchased have gone. I have no idea as to what has been ordered. I have received payment via Paypal and Eway (in real and Sandbox modes). A customer has looked at his account, and he can see that he has paid (has he had received an invoice), but there is no items in the cart!!!

I was told by a programmer that the problem is with the module (eway or paypal), but cannot see that to be the case as I have been paid????

Any help would be appreciated, also.

Thanks

Raja

Hi Rajastones

I have changed & updated the module for Paypal 3 times now and it is still the same issue. Current paypal module is 2.86

I am using 1.4.6.2 Prestashop.

Its a good job Paypal lets you know you have received payment or you would not now you have had a sale.

If you can recreate the problem (build $1 product and buy to recreate), then you should update your config/config.inc.php to display errors for community debug. So see if you can provide some more debug information for these sorts of problems.

/* Debug only */
@ini_set('display_errors', 'off');
define('_PS_DEBUG_SQL_', false);

change to:

/* Debug only */
@ini_set('display_errors', 'on');
define('_PS_DEBUG_SQL_', true);

Make sure to check your Back Office separator_breadcrum.png Orders separator_breadcrum.png Statuses

Most payment gateway module problems can be traced back to invalid post of status orders. Here is a picture of a good one:

to try and fix, uninstall and delete your existing PayPal module

delete any order status that has the PayPal icon. (see image above)

re-upload and install PayPal module and make sure api etc is correct.

(see if that resolves your problem)

Thank you for taking the trouble to reply Elpatron. I have done what you suggest and will now try to see if it has solved the problem. I have upgraded the paypal module twice and that did not solve it but I will try anything.

Barry, your welcome, and it was no trouble...like many it's a time issue and I'm not afraid to make some guesses. But you can understand how time consuming playing twenty questions can be...Many posts (mine included) can go unanswered because there just isn't enough technical detail.
