id like to have country in more than one zone, so i can give each carrier their own zone numbers... would like the drop down menu for the countries' zone to be check boxes, and for the ps_country to alow multiple entries for a country to be in more than one zone, or a second table.

Yes allowing countries to be in different zones is the key as not all carriers have the same zone. If we could set countries to multiple zones we could set the carriers to ship to the different zones and allow various shippers. Currently if a country is in zone 1 for Carrier #1.

if we set a Carrier#2 it has to be the same prices as all the countries in zone 1 carrier#1 but what if carrier 2 only ships to country in zone 1 at a certain price but another countries in zone 1 for carrier#2 needs to be in a different country zone for #2.

If we could set new zones for carrier b and have set up more zones for that carrier only and add countires in zone 1 for carrier one but set up zone 15 for carrier2 and allow the countries to be places in both zone#1 and zone#15. We could then allow carrier#2 to ship to zone#15 (and not zone#1) the problem could be solved.

So at the moment we need around 300 different zones as the country name with just one member, that same country. Also, don't forget to modify the state name (e.g. AL could be Alabama in the U.S. and some state/province in another country) to reflect that it belongs to the zone-country name you created above, instead of the general zone, like North America or Europe. A lot of work, to do, could take several hours. Then it will take several hours putting in the prices for each zone because now there are around 300 zones. In my case, it is worse since I have several different zone configurations depending on which type of service the customers selects for Israel Post. If the user selects regular, U.S. is zone 2, if Express, U.S. is zone 1. So I have to do triple work for just one carrier. Yes, Prestashop lacks what other shopping carts have. So why are we using Prestashop again?
