[SOLVED] Alias required. Customer is "bad with computers"

I've been trying to walk a customer through the checkout process on prestashop 1.4.5

They are using the most recent version of Safari

 

When they are on the registration page where they enter their address details, upon submit, it returns with "invalid alias"

 

I can't replicate the problem although I haven't tried it in safari.

 

I know there is another bug pertaining to 1 click guest checkout but this is being cause by something else.

Hi preerp,

The alias is at the very bottom of the registration page, and it should default to "My Address" or something similar. Can you please check with your customer and ensure that he or she is not leaving that field blank?

She ended up ordering by phone so I dont know that we'll ever find out the answer to that but that is certainly the error message that I get when I delete the default "my address".

 

Assuming that's what it is, is there a reason the "my address" wouldn't show up by default?

And what is the best way to make that field optional?

Hi guys, i have read the forums about the alias etc, my problem is i have removed all the fields except for:

 

 

Title Mr. Ms.

First name

Last name

E-mail

Password

 

i get an error There is 1 error : alias is required.

 

hw do i fix this, plz help
