Stats dashboard giving strange/incorrect data

Hi all,

 

I'm having a problem with the stats modules. My site is fairly new so traffic is quite low (around 50 visits per day), however the sats dashboard randomly shows visits in the region of 1000, which doesn't correspond with google analytics or webmaster tools. Also, today the dashboard reports a sale yet there is nothing reported in the orders tab. Which is correct??

 

Anyone any idea what's causing this and how to fix?
