[Solved] removing footer block from PrestaShop Template 1.4.5

Thanks for your reply, that removed the top part of the footer, however "categories" still remains. (I tried removing the module "Categories block" but it removes it from the footer and the left column where as I only want it removed from the footer.

You should go to the Modules tab and click positions. There you must delete categories block under the footer hook and should be OK then.

I only want to remove few categories from ctaegories block on footer. How to remove those ?

in this case you have to modify template file of module, add there if conditions where you have to check

the id of category you don't want to diplay

for example:

{if $node.id!=2}
{/if}

Thanks for your time Vekia. If I suppose to give this section to admin then what to do. ? In my case Admin can handle it that which catagories should be displayed on front or not but only in footer ?

hello

unfortunately, you can't manage what categories you want to display in footer only, and which ones you want to hide. Back office hasn't got this feature, you can do it only with modification of module template file, there is no other way at the moment

I am not able to find any module for reinsurance in my backoffice. Can you please tell me how to remove reinsurance block? I am using prestashop 1.5.6.2.
