Can I do a fresh install and only import customer order/data from old install?

Hi

 

I currently have a Prestashop 1.3.6 store but it was installed by myself (not an expert) so it has some bugs and I want to upgrade to the latest version of PS. Recently an upgrade attempt was made but the developer did not complete the project and said he encountered image generation problem on upgrade, so I was wondering if I could start clean and do a fresh install without any of the old store but somehow transfer my customer data - orders & registration details etc. Is this possible?
