m-graphix
This is my first Prestashop installation, it all worked out OK with the theme until now. Suddenly, after I set up the Authorize.net payment module, I started getting Smarty errors on the Stores page. It worked fine before that and I didn't touch the stores.tpl file. Now I get this error: Fatal error: Uncaught exception 'SmartyCompilerException' with message 'Syntax Error in template "/home6/rivertwo/public_html/themes/river2sea/stores.tpl" on line 33 "<p>{l s='Here are the details of our dealers:'}</p>" - Unexpected "Here", expected one of: "}" , " "' in /home6/rivertwo/public_html/tools/smarty/sysplugins/smarty_internal_templatecompilerbase.php:431 Stack trace: #0 /home6/rivertwo/public_html/tools/smarty/sysplugins/smarty_internal_templateparser.php(2855): Smarty_Internal_TemplateCompilerBase->trigger_template_error() #1 /home6/rivertwo/public_html/tools/smarty/sysplugins/smarty_internal_templateparser.php(2920): Smarty_Internal_Templateparser->yy_syntax_error(18, 'Here') #2 /home6/rivertwo/public_html/tools/smarty/sysplugins/smarty_internal_smartytemplatecompiler.php(51): Smarty_Internal_Templateparser->doParse(18, 'Here') #3 /home6/rivertwo/public_html/tools/smarty/sysplugins/smarty_internal_templatecompilerbase.php(82): Smarty_Internal_SmartyTemplateCompiler->doCompile('{capture name=p.. in /home6/rivertwo/public_html/tools/smarty/sysplugins/smarty_internal_templatecompilerbase.php on line 431 I tried changing the theme to the original Prestashop theme and the Stores page loads fine in that case. So, I switched back to my theme and replaced stores.tpl from my theme with stores.tpl from the original Prestashop - now the page loads without smarty errors, but it doesn't show me the Google map. Can you guys give me any suggestions? I appreciate any help.
Mike Kranzler
Hi m-graphix, This definitely appears to be an issue with your specific theme. What theme are you using on your site? -Mike
m-graphix
It's a TemplateMonster theme, but it worked fine until yesterday, that's what throws me off....
Mike Kranzler
What is the specific theme? And had you made any changes in the days leading up to this error? -Mike
m-graphix
Here is the link to the server: http://67.20.69.20/stores I made a lot of changes from the original TM template (#37757), but it all worked OK until yesterday when I installed Authorize.net module, although shouldn't have anything to do with it... Have you tried contacting TemplateMonster yet? In this sort of situation, I prefer to give the original theme developer the opportunity to help first (and if this is a Paid theme, you should be able to get help from their support team) because they know the theme and its files better than anyone else. -Mike
m-graphix
I will try that, thanks for intervention, Mike.
m-graphix
OK, problem SOLVED. I replaced the store.tpl file with the one from TM and the map worked, then I added the mods that I had made before. The end result code was EXACTLY like the one I had before which didn't work. I guess I'll have to classify this problem to my X-files. OR I suspect something with the Smarty cache.... Anyway, Mike, thanks again.
Mike Kranzler
Great, I'm glad you were able to resolve this! I'll go ahead and mark this thread as solved for you. Happy selling! -Mike
