LeSaule Posted March 27, 2012 Share Posted March 27, 2012 Hello! I spend several hours trying to understand a problem that affects my shop but can't find any solution. My shop sells music : physical products (CD) or virtual products (MP3 or FLAC). MP3 files are sold individually or by album. In that case, the "Product Download" is a ZIP containing all the MP3 from the album, a JPG of the cover and sometimes a PDF of the booklet, that brings a file between 50 and 100MB. When I created the store two or three years ago (I use version 1.3.1.1 (yes this is old but I have lost dozens of hours trying to update so I don't touch it more (I'm waiting for the release of PrestaShop 1.5))), when I created the store, I had the problem of the Max Upload, 64MB for me, bypassed by the method of replacement file in the directory "download" of the store using Filezilla. And it worked well. I thought. Actually when people order these MP3 albums, there is a random problem: sometimes they manage to download the file with the link, sometimes not. If I test by myself, same problem, and when I test from the backoffice of the shop on product pages of the catalog by clicking on the name of "downloadable product", the result is very uncertain. Some files will NEVER finish transferring, ending randomly between 800k and 50 MB (and it seems to happen more often for larger files, beyond 80MB). Others files finish the transfer or not (files around 70-80 MB). Some finish the transfer SYSTEMATICALLY (50 to 80MB files). But one 75MB ZIP is never a problem, another of 73MB is finishing its transfer only one in four. So perhaps there is no correlation between this problem and the file size. Still, it could be related to the story of 64MB.. ?? I also read somewhere that it may come from the PHP script. Because actually if I download the same files from the "download" directory with Filezilla, everything works normally. Why the download stops at 1, 10 or 30MB for some files and not for others? The store is hosted on a shared server OVH "Pro". Thank you! Aurélien PS: I recently discovered another bug: if someone buys a product (object CD) and a product to download (MP3), the buyer does not receive any download links. I am not sure but I think I once read somewhere on a forum about it, and there was no solution ... (Or perhaps not for Prestashop 1.3). If anyone knows... thanks!
