blueinferno2001
Hi, I'm sorry if this question is misplaced. But I have a client who'd like to make orders from the back office. She wants the store to be in the catalog mode so that customers can only browse for products. If a customer would like to make a purchase, he/she needs to contact the store owner for the price and the store owner will make the order, print the invoice, and so on. The reason why the store owner wants to make it work that way is that she'd like to give different prices to different people. Could you suggest how I can configure Prestashop to work this way? Or if there's any workaround, I'd like to know. Thanks a lot!
bellini13
there are existing modules/modifications that do this. i believe one is called order manager. you should browse the prestashop store, or do a google search on this topic, and you will find them. they will likely not be free. blueinferno2001
Thank you. I went to their website but Prestashop wasn't in the list. And also it's very expensive hehe.. Anyone else know any cheaper alternatives?

Dh42
This really is something that should be standard. It prevents people from using Prestashop as a stock keeping software.
blueinferno2001
I heard that Prestashop 1.5 is going to include this feature. If so, I'd like to ask that if I'm using 1.4.7 right now, is it going to be lots of hassle when upgrading to 1.5? Or I better wait for 1.5 instead? Dh42
Prestashop is good software, but it is best practice to wait a while when a new version comes out. 1.4.7 still has ssl issues out of the box.
