Include in the order receipt a Code or text string from a list

What I’m trying to do, is include in each order is made through the eshop, one unique code (just a text string) from a list of X codes I have created in advance. Is that possible with prestashop?

It sounds like a serial number, have a look at http://www.prestashop.com/forums/index.php?/topic/66964-module-serial-number-upload-attach-serial-numbers-to-products-and-automatically-send-them-out/

 

While it does not display in the PDF invoice, it is saved as an order message (in the order history) as well as sent to the customer via email.

 

You can also look on the addons store, as this is not something that is built into Prestashop
