[SOLVED] Can't login to my back office

Recommended Posts

Hello,

My shop has been hacked.

During the installation I did change the name of the ADMIN folder to something containing letters and numbers. I was pretty sure I was being smart by hiding my files, nonetheless, my shop has been hacked.

I cannot log into the back store because I get a blank page on my iMac and a blocked page in my PC. The report from the anti virus program in the PC says there is a "malicious url" on the url of my back store.

I have two questions: anyone knows which is the best way to protect my store? Is there a software or module or something that I can install in my shop to prevent this attacks or at least minimize them?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

Sylvia

Apart from not being able to get into the back-office what else has happened?

Nothing that I have found. The front store is working. I can log on as a customer. I can place an order and be redirected to google checkout or paypal.

So I guess nothing else has happened.

Thanks,

Sylvia.

P.S. I just found out that when you login as a customer, you cannot logout.

P.S. I just found out that when you login as a customer, you cannot logout.

Would say that this is a bug not your site being hacked.

If all that has happened is not being able to login to the admin area, what brought you to the conclusion that your site had been hacked?

Try downloading the Prestashop package again, and upload just the admin folder to your server and see if that fixes things

Then if that is the case, the cause may be cache. Please either clear your browser cache, or better yet, just to test the theory, please visit your site with a different browser or from another computer.

I also had this problem when I enabled output cache on IIS 7.5, which is a server side cache. Regardless, I don't think you have been hacked.

Yeah, that would work. :)

Thank you so much for your help.

I replaced all admin files and the store is working now as usual.

I appreciate your help.
