Theme installer not found and won't workk when uploaded

I'm trying to copy the default Prestashop theme so I can them customise it. I click on the link to install the new theme (theme installer link) in my prestashop admin system, but it tells me that the module is not found.

 

I visited the add-ons site and downloaded the module (template installer) from there - uploaded it to my prestashop installation through the admin system's uploader, but it doesn't show up in my module list - it's like I've not done anything, or uploaded anything.

 

Any ideas why this may be happening? If I look in my modules directory I can see the themeinstallator folder is there and all the files are included in it, but it's not displaying in my modules list.

 

Really confused - I'm new to Prestashop so apologies if I'm missing something super obvious here.

 

update: Got the module working - it wasn't actually installed, strange - I would have thought it would have been installed or at least told me to install it after uploading

You can go to module manager to check modules status.
