[Solved] Move Custom Fields from bottom to top

Recommended Posts

Is there an easy way I can make the custom fields for a product appear directly below the "Add to cart" button? The default Prestashop layout places all product customizations at the bottom of the product description when a user clicks on the product.

I'd like the "product customization" to appear before the "More info" section.

Edit: Thanks to Bellini13 the solution is found below.

Here is a screen shot for the upper and lower portions of a product that has customized fields. Note the fill in the blank options in the "lower.jpg" are set in the BO by the Customization tab when entering a product in the catalog. These are what I would like moved ahead of the "More Info" tab in the "upper.jpg" display.

it should just be a matter of changing the themes product.tpl file. at the bottom of that template file is a line that begins with.

<!-- Customizable products -->
{if $product->customizable}

just move that entire section in between the hook footer and "description and features"

{$HOOK_PRODUCT_FOOTER}

*******place here*********

<!-- description and features -->

{if $product->description || $features || $accessories || $HOOK_PRODUCT_TAB || $attachments}

Thanks! I'll play with the templates tonight when I get home. This is a useability improvement many will find beneficial.

I've also seen some posts with mods that allow someone to "add to cart" without first saving the customizations, thus making it a one step instead of a two step process. I plan to play with that too.

Hello,

Is not working for me.

The Product Customization section is moved but after insert data in the field (set *required) and press the "Save" button, I receive an error that I have to complete the required fields.

Please help me with this.

Thanks.
