Product customization problem

I hope someone can point me in the right direction with this. I have just updated my store to version 1.4.7 and am using the default theme. My store sells personalised products and I use the customization feature for customers to upload image files and text. Since I updated I have the following problems:

 

1. Image files are not saved to the back office. On saving the customisation a 'success' message is displayed and the customer can check out however the image is not available to view.
   
2. Entries into text boxes are saved in Internet Explorer however, if an entry is 'required' then Firefox and Chrome appears to save the text however when you try to check out there is an error message that says "Please fill in all required fields and then save". The text is saved correctly in all browsers if the fields are not 'required'.
   

 

 

I have been using these features in Prestashop since version 1.2 and have not had any errors before - could someone please let me know if this is a configuration problem on my part or an error.

I confirm that I have the same problem using prestashop 1.4.7.

 

After I upload the file that has ben set in the admin panel as required, I get message:

'Customization saved successfully.'

 

But when I want to add the product to the cart, I get the alert message:

'Please fill in all required fields, then save the customization.'

After code research I solved the problem in the following way.

I changed part of the product.js file

using the product.js file from the 1.4.6.2 version:

and namely I changed content of the

function saveCustomization() using the code from the 1.4.6.2

Thank you, had the same problem.. and the saveCustomization function from the 1.4.6.2 works fine

I've tried changing the saveCustomizarion() function however, although it appears to be uploading the file, the image does not show - I get the broken image link icon.

 

Does anyone have any other ideas?

I had same problem with PrestaShop™ 1.4.8.2 , i did the fix trigloxix suggested and it worked perfect. so bad product customization from version 1.4.7 do not work.

Same here to, with PrestaShop 1.4.8.2, trigloxix fix worked but would like a bug fix from presta team so I can use the updated file...

BIG PROBLEM NOW..

 

When I add an image to customization it actually enlarges the image to my max set parameters in back office.

Same issue here on default theme with 1.5 which has the same saveCustomization() code as 1.4.6.2
