I've tried updating the module 'blockhomeslideshow' using their fix and also regenerated my thumbnails. Still the same is happening. WHat i did was get the code from http://prestadesigner.com/demo/1/modules/blockhomeslideshow/blockhomeslideshow.tpl and update it. Worked perfetcly.
