tidyboyz
Hello all, I have used prestashop before, but 4 odd years ago so all of my understanding has lost me. I am setting up a small online store for a friend and have only just started to custom style the site. 1. Featured products is not displaying image of newly created products. It displays 4 of the existing products that come as part of install. In the back office, the images are in the tmp directory on the "home" tab In the back office individual product images are stored in "img/p" Images are displayed on new products tab, stored in "img/p/" directory Featured products is trying to find images in "img/p/5/7/" however this directory does not exist. I have a virtual server which i'm mainly running plesk on to configure sites. Its a windows server. Permisions are set to pretty much everything but still no success. Can anyone help me get my images to display correctly when uploaded, or rather can anyone help me get the folders to be created? Any help greatly appreciated Ben [sOLVED] see last post
Carl Favre
Hi tidyboyz, Can I take a look at your back-office? Can you send me your credentials in PM?
Mike Kranzler
Hi tidyboyz, Whenever you create a product in your Back Office, if you add it to the Home category in addition to the main category, it will be listed in the Featured Products block. No need to move images between different folders . I hope this helps. -Mike
tidyboyz
Carl came up with the solution, it was down to windows hosting and level of permisions. I did the following /img /mails /modules /themes/prestashop/lang /themes/prestashop/cache /translations /upload /downl /tools/smarty /tools/smarty_v2 775 should be good enough
