Different languages for BO and FO

Recommended Posts

What I did to get around this issue was to set the default language to the front office and then disable the module 'language block' for selecting the front office language, as there was only one language. It would be a nice feature if one could have as many active languages the would like that are enabled either in the front or back offices, or both.

Yes, i already done that but wandered if one could evade the hassle and simply install the PS in one BO language and one different other FO language.

That way no risk of broken links or not found URl's.

I did notice a quirk the other day, working on a clients site from bo in a lang I don't understand, I enabled English, set my logon to use it...did my work...then disabled english. later when I logged in my userid was still in English even though it was disabled. I didn't really think much of it then. :) easy enough to test...let us know if that works for you.
