webmeup
dear all, i'm on 1.4.7.0, the issue i'm facing is that customers are getting email from Presta (be it the welcome email, awaiting payment, etc) with their name as "dG9ueSBsZXVuZw==", instead of first name - last name. Email body is showing the customer name just fine. Checked on the Back Office > Customer tab, they look fine also. If someone could point me to the right file(s) to check/edit , would be great. I hope I dont need to do a fresh install Many thanks all. regards, Wira
bellini13
is it the email they receive during their first time check out? or just if they register without placing an order?

I've googled this matter, I only managed to find one similar posting, with no resolution. appreciate it if you guys can throw in some ideas here thanks again.. is it the email they receive during their first time check out? or just if they register without placing an order? bellini13
The PaymentModule class is responsible for sending the order emails. The AuthController sends the welcome email.

I actually uninstall Prestashop and did a clean re-install : the shop sent out "a2VtYWxhIHdpcmFuYXRh" on the "TO:" email address (while displays the correct firstname lastname on the email body).
