Helpful information for a novice - about product.css file

After spending about 2 weeks of trying to figure out why my stock quantities would not display for any of my products, several unanswered requests for help in the forum and message sent to the bug tracker, I posted again in the forum ---- this time 'phrasespot' responded with a fix! I hope this will help other novices with the same problem. This was for PS 1.4.7, and the new template.

This is the fix:

 

 

Locate the file /themes/mytheme/css/product.css and on line 195 there is a rule:

 

 

#pQuantityAvailable {

display: none !important;

}

 

Comment it out as follows

 

 

/*#pQuantityAvailable {

display: none !important;

}*/
