dixie Posted March 7, 2012 Share Posted March 7, 2012 I make the mistake of installing PS 1.7.4 on my server into a file called prestashop, instead of into my public_html directory. My host tried to move my files for me, but messed things up and they had to do a restore of my files. What is the correct way to get my files out of the prestashop directory and into my public_html directory? Thank you for any help. El Patron Posted March 7, 2012 Share Posted March 7, 2012 do you have shell access, if not then you will need to re-ftp your files to the site root. then go to your back office of the newly uploaded site: back office-->tools-->seo & urls scroll down change both the your urls to the correct one, i.e. remove the prestashop folder i.e. www.myurl.com Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Am I understanding correctly, to do the following? 1. Move all of my files out of the prestashop folder and into my public_html. 2. Change my urls to mysite.com in the BO. I don't understand - Under "Set up URLs", my PS Directory is now set to: /prestashop/ (do I change this to /stitchbin/, after I move my files? My other settings are that page are: Homepage file - index.php, Shop domain name - stitchbin.com, Shop domain name for SSL - stitchbin.com (I have a private ip and SSL certificate). So......I don't need to change those? 3. Delete the prestashop folder. Do I have to do something to a php file, or are there any other changes that I need to make?
