No VAT on Children's clothing sizes using attributes

Hi there,

 

I have a customer who sells horse riding clothing in the UK. A particular scenario we've come across is that riding hat design is available in adult and child sizes. In the UK, you do not pay VAT for children's clothing.

 

I'm aware we can list the children's sizes as a separate item, but we want to include these sizes as attributes within one product to avoid confusion and SEO penalties etc.

 

It appears that there is no way to remove or alter the tax rate per attribute. Indeed, I've spoken to Tomerg from Presto Changeo about this who reckons that this just isn't possible and there is nothing out there to fix this.

 

Has anyone else come across this issue, and if so have you managed to sort it? Any help would be great, thanks.
