Red Square Electronics
Good Evening, First and foremost my name is Jonathan Ricketts. I am new to PrestaShop! I was currently using OsCommerce for many years and decided time for a change for my business and I needed something to keep up with me! I have found it here with this amazing product! I have searched and searched the forums for these answers which I am about to ask so my Apologies now if they were already posted! I have already gathered that PrestaShop is a different way of programming which I like so far. I am not used to have to editing .tpl files instead of just the .php files (Which I was used to from OSC). 1.) I need to adjust the placement of my Header logo? It’s a little off balance from my web design so need to move it. 2.) I have a Google ads module on my main site in the center. I had to use the ad for 468x60 since the width of my page would not fit the generic one. My question is how to center the module? 3.) I have looked through BO and could not find out why on any of my products I cannot add to Cart or even check out? It shows I can put a product into my wish list but not be able to purchase it? My site is active and open (or so I thought) This issue is resolved Found it here! http://www.prestasho...y-front-office/ 4.) Is it all possible to be able to delete subcategories images and not have them show up and just have the categories links themselves? If this is not worded correctly please I'll try to ask a different way! Thanks for the help in advance! I forgot to put if you needed to visit the site to see what I am talking about please: redsquareelectronics.com/store/ Edited March 8, 2012 by Red Square Electronics (see edit history)
tdr170
Most all item postions can be altered under global.css of your current theme. For the header look for #header_logo and change top and left margins. (global.css) Yhis will help you understand how to fix the rest.
ChristiN
Hi, 4.) Is it all possible to be able to delete subcategories images and not have them show up and just have the categories links themselves? If this is not worded correctly please I'll try to ask a different way! I'm not sure of the answers to all of your questions, but I can help you remove the images you are referring to in item 4. The images at the top of your category pages can come from either the category image or imaging mapping. To remove these images, you'll need to delete your PrestaShop category image and any image maps for the categories in question. Be sure to keep us posted and let me know if that link helps or not. That acutally did answer one of my questions but not acutally getting rid of the ? mark picture! I want to be able to just have links, but I think I found it in the .css file... I will keep you posted. Thanks
