[SOLVED] Back office problem - modules page acting strangely

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

Having a major problem with installing, uninstalling and configuring modules in the BO. After clicking 'save' from an installed module configuration page I'm redirected back to the module page (as you would expect) but it shows as 'module uninstalled successfully'. Weirdly, the install/uninstall option is set to 'uninstall'. The module is still working in the front office. If I select 'configure' the module list just refreshes and if I select 'uninstall' I get the message 'This module is already uninstalled'.

This happens with all modules. I've tried uninstalling/deleting the last few modules I installed but nothing changes. As I said, everything seem to be working on the site but obviously I can't configure any modules.

Any help with this problem would be greatly appreciated.

Not to worry - the problem was due to enabling the file system cache. I was trying this out but it seems this was not a good idea!!

Please could you mark this as solved for me as I can't figure out how to do it with the new forum.

Cheers

I have the same problem. I have problems with Mail alerts module and Watermark, but I have not tried with the rest.

I run version 1.4.6.2.

Example:

My Mail alert v2.2 module is installed and has the "Module enabled" icon.

When I click "Configure" I get: "Module uninstalled successfully"

When I click "Reset" i get: "Cannot uninstall module"

When I click "Disable" i get "Status update successful" but the "Module enabled" icon is still there

When I click "Uninstall" i get "This module is already uninstalled : mailalerts", still it is enabled

Any help would be appreciated!
