Lordrainyday
Hi, I am a Prestashop newbie. I managed to install Prestashop and a theme without any problem. I installed the new theme (paid) after initially installing a free theme when I first got prestashop working. the theme developers have given a very clear guidance on the modules to be used and their positions. However, when am working on the positions of modules, I am not able to transplant some of the modules. The message I get is "Module already transplanted" but the module is defiinitely not there. This is happening on all positions eg. I see that module x is in Top of pages and want to move it to say Left hand blocks, I get the message "Module already transplanted" but I do not see the moved module in Left Hand Blocks and neither does it reflect in the front end when I refresh. Can someone please help me with this? All help will be appreciated. Thanks. Praveen
Mike Kranzler
Hi Praveen, Have you tried using the Live Edit feature? This may be a better way to move the modules around in your situation. In your Back Office, go to Modules > Positions and then click on Run Live Edit. There, you can drag the modules around. Anywhere that is highlighted in green, you can move the module there, anywhere in red you cannot. I hope this helps. -Mike
Lordrainyday
Hi Mike, Your suggestion did help me a bit, many thanks. But a majority of my modules are still in place that I want to remove. Can you please let me know what the difference is between "Remove" and "unhook" modules in the Positions tab. thanks once again. Praveen
Red Square Electronics
You could try in the Live Edit to delete the ones you did not need. Then go back into modules and reinstall them and then try to move them. That might be more helpful if you did it that way. I also read on the forum if you have your Force Compile on it could be affecting the Cache in your settings. You might not be seeing the updates right way. That would be under Preferences-Performance. Try to disable the Force Compile if it’s enabled. Hope it helped. Also could you put the modules which your trying to use and what template that would help out as well. If you bought it from templatemonster or a place like that they can usually help as well. Mike Kranzler
Red Square Electronics, You actually have it a bit backwards. In order to ensure that you are seeing the very latest version of your site, you would want to go to Preferences > Performance and then set Force Compile to On and Cache to Off. -Mike
