FedEx Module Configuration Problems

Recommended Posts

Hello All,

I'm have severe troubles trying to get the fedex module working. I'm using Prestashop version 1.4.6.2. The trouble begins with the fact that the API request page is missing. When looking into the developer resources it was giving all sorts of information about how I need to migrate because the API was going way. Is this a problem for the current version? Proceeding hopint it wasn't I tried to register for a test key, which I can't because fedex says the service is "currently unavailable." and has been for days. I instead set up a production key figuring if I can get diffferent prices based on different zip codes it would be "good enough" since I'm only using not developing the module.

I had a lot of trouble getting past the "Error 1000: Authentication Failed" error. I finally am using the following:

Account = FedEx Account number.

Meter = FedEx Meter Number

Password = the authentication key that was on the prod key creation validation page.

API Key = the password that was emailed to me from fedex.

This configuration has gotten me a different error, I now get the following error:

Prestashop could not connect to FEDEX webservices :

Error :

There is no error message. I'm at my wits end, i put this off figuring it would be a snap to configure as all the other modules have been. Any help would be greatly greatly appreciated. The site is supposed to go live next Saturday.

Check out our Fedex module http://www.presto-changeo.com/en/shipping-modules/47-fedex.html

There are details for our backoffice demo there, you can try entering your account info in the configuration page of the module there. (try both in test / live mode)

If you get incorrect settings (red) message, it means your info is wrong, if you get a green confirmation, it means the problem may lie with your server, or the stock Fedex module you're using.

You might have the last two numbers switched. Or maybe you just typed out the description wrong.

You said:

Account = fedex Account number.

Meter = fedex Meter Number

Password = the authentication key that was on the prod key creation validation page.

API Key = the password that was emailed to me from fedex.

It should be:

Password=the Production Password emailed to you

API Key=the authentication key on the prod key creation page

I just double checked my Prestashop BO module page and this is how I have it and it worked on first try

P.S. While I am here I am going to ask if anyone has modded the module or know where to ask them to add a feature for discount percentages for each shipping method.

Here is a situation where it is needed. I don't ship any product, my dropshipper does. They have a lot bigger discounts on their Fedex account then on mine, So not being able to use their webservices account info I use mine. But I get much higher price for shipping in the cart than it is actually going to cost me to send to the client. I want to increase sales with the lower shipping price. Anyone know a solution.

For example a 5lb item would show up in cart as $61 to ship FedEx overnight, but in reality only costs $35 when I go to order at dropshipper's site.

Hello,

I have the same problem.

I'm using the Fedex module 1.2.6 with Prestashop 1.4.8.2.

I have added all production parameters from Fedex. If i'm changing one parameter, he say "Error 1000 : authentification failed". I think all informations and the authentication are good. Soap, Url & OpenSSl are enabled...

warn2.pngFEDEX Carrier is not configured yet, you must:

module_install.png 1) Fill the "General Settings" form

module_install.png 2) Select your available delivery service

warn2.png 3) Webservice test connection : Error :

module_install.png 4) Soap is enabled

module_install.png 5) Url fopen is enabled

module_install.png 6) OpenSSL is enabled

But the module throw an error without code or description :

forbbiden.gif Prestashop could not connect to FEDEX webservices :

Error :

Can anyone help me? How to get more logs or error details?

I have downloaded the last Prestashop 1.5 and looking for this module on Prestashop Addons website but this module is now missing. Do you know if the Fedex Module is stopped?

Thanks

Hello we are having the exact same problem:

All Green lights in Prestashop backend except the webservices test connection

The domain we are working on is hosted in Hong Kong - I'm not sure if this has any bearings on the issue - really stuck here - we've tried everything we can think of as well as some suggestions from Google Search results.

Much obliged for any help that can be afforded.

The link provided in Prestashop no longer works. I talke with a representative and got this information. Login to our Fed ex account and then go here:

1. http://www.fedex.com/us/developer/

2. Click Developer Solutions

3. Go down page and click Access FedEx Web Services for Shipping Technical Resources

4. Fill out information

5. Click Developer Solutions and click Access FedEx Web Services for Shipping Technical Resources again

6. Page will give you meter and API.

7. Password will be emailed to you for completion

For me the issue was that I didn't know what went in each field

Your Fedex account : - use the number for your fed ex account not your log on to fedex.com id

Your Fedex meter number - should be provided when you register for fedex web services in an email

Your Fedex password : this also is provided in an email when you register for fed ex web services, it is not your fedex.com password

Your Fedex Authentication Key : visible on the screen when you register for fedex webservices
