Header , blockuserinfo and blockpermanentlinks, Julien Horizontal menu

1.- I would like my header panel a little bit short, how can I do this?

 

2.- Also I would like to know how can I control the position of icons in blockuserinfo and

blockpermanentlinks, I think an example will help me

 

3.- Finally I'm having troubles installing "Julien Breux (Menu Horizontal V2.7)."

I'm using the control panel-> Install modules-> from my computer, but It not appears as installed. I have found in menu Modules a link that say "manu", but when I click on it says file can not be found. Am i doing something wrong?
