Guest aritali
Users of my site are getting an empty cart message when they try to purchase something. They are using IE9 and FF9. I tested it on one of their systems using teamviewer. The only problem is I cannot reproduce the error myself. I have tried chrome 17 FF 10 IE9 safari on ipod touch, safari unknown number on mac. But I haven't been able to reproduce it. Any suggestions? The site url is beta.eosremote.com Clicking to buy a product should take you to the cart with the product in it. On the system I remoted into as soon as I clicked on it it took me to an empty cart.
Carl Favre
Hi aritali, It seems to be some kind of cookie issue. Have you tried to clear them?
Guest aritali
I have, what is weird is it is happening on machines regardless of browser.Did you go to the site, did you have the cart problem?
Carl Favre
No I did not have the issue. The cart was not empty. I checked with Chrome.
Mike Kranzler
Hi aritali, I just checked this on Chrome, IE9 and Firefox 10, and had no issues adding a product to the cart as intended. Is there any other way you could help us replicate this error? -Mike
Guest aritali
That is the thing, it seems like it is only on my clients computer that it is not working. I have tested it in the following browsers with no problem FF 9 IE 9 RockMelt current version Chrome 18 Safari 4.3.1 I cannot replicate the problem. Is there a known anti virus program that interacts with the cookies and does not let them be set?

Is there a known anti virus program that interacts with the cookies and does not let them be set? None that I know of, and I love that fact that you even tested it in RockMelt (my absolute favorite browser, and the one I use at home). Has this client cleared the cookies and cache on their computer as well? It's very strange that they are having this issue, but the good news is that it appears restricted to their system, rather than the software as a whole. -Mike
Guest aritali
I try to test thoroughly for cross platform, but the thing that I guess is killing me the most is that it is no limited to one browser on his computer, but all browsers on his computer. It makes me think it is some system wide setting. It was tried on IE FF and Chrome on his machine, none worked. As you can tell by the site he is a computer security person I was just wondering if he could have some software blocking the cookie interaction. I have no clue what could be doing it. I am going to widen the amount of machines it is tested on to see if I can replicate it. As for the cookies I haven't mentioned that with it being so many different browsers. I wouldn't be surprised if that is the case, just yesterday I thought I had a major error only to realize it was because I had deactivated Javascript for testing purposes... -Mike
