zenerol
Question, are the URL rewrite rules in my .htaccess file classfied as php directives? I'm a noob with these things, so an answer is highly appreciated. The reason I ask is because I read an update from my host which says the following: 1. New server runs php in a jailed environment which cannot be turned off, but its not the same as safe mode, basically if your running .htaccess files with php directives in them, rename the .htaccess file to: php.ini Thanks. lynnetted
I'm all new to this also and trying to find out more about rewrite rules in .htaccess. Here's what I've figured out so far: the .htaccess file is not PHP, it is "Apache server configuration directives". I couldn't swear to this, but I think it's analogous to DOS. Hope this helps!
